A love for creating and color goes back to my childhood. I spent hours in my room drawing in the white spaces of my mother's discarded magazines when I would run out of paper. I am drawn to abstract art out of rebellion against the art teachers who scolded me for being messy and not staying in the lines. I allow my paintings to direct me and take me on a challenging adventure. There is no better feeling when you step back and say, "It's done."
